Creating sacred space through conversation

People are understandably skeptical of organized

religion, yet we all need space to wrestle with questions

of meaning, spirituality, and practice. We seek to create

this space.

Sanctuary is a community experimenting with and

reclaiming ancient practices of the Church, while

providing the freedom to question and doubt. We

believe that joining Tradition and skepticism creates

opportunities for genuine connection between one

another and God.

PUB TALKS

Meet the Second Sunday of each month, 7-9pm at the Full Pint Wild Side Pub on Butler Street in Lawrenceville.

Sanctuary's Pub Talk series welcomes a variety of speakers, artists, and musicians exploring the intersections of faith, culture, art, politics, and justice. We seek to draw on the best of public house history-- a place to share a meal, build community, and discuss pressing issues of the day.

Pastor:

Laura Bentley          Missional Fellowship developed out of a dream Laura had in seminary-- to create a church for skeptical and exhausted people, rooted in conversation, food, and contemplative prayer. Laura graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Formerly, she's worked as a youth pastor, camp counselor, and barista. She lives in Sharpsburg with her husband, Ed, her toddler daughter, Junia, and their dachshund, Calvin. Laura's not big on hobbies, but loves craft beer, good coffee, and historical fiction.  Laura is also Director of Mission Development at OPC.    Laura is currently on Family Leave until December.
