YOUTH
GROUP NEWS FOR MARCH
Sunday, March 7th: The Empty Bowls
Dinner 1:30-4:30
The 15th Anniversary Empty Bowls Dinner
is an annual fund raiser hosted by the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank.
For a donation of $20.00, you will experience a local event that draws
local celebrities, tons of fun activities and most importantly, helps
local families in need. This is held at The Rodef Shalom Congregation
in Oakland and promises to be an interesting event. The church
will pay $10.00 of the $20.00 price of admission. You will get
to choose a very unique, handmade bowl to take home. Meet at the church
at 1:30. Bev and Steve are driving.

Sunday, March 14th: Youth Group
Meeting 6:30-8:00
Back by popular demand---game night. And yes, you
can play “assassin”. (Parents, I promise you, this game isn’t as bad as
it sounds.) Bring your favorite game or just come ready to play one
that is here. (No video games please).
Sunday, March 21st: Visit The Open
Door Church 4:15-7:00
We’re going on a field trip!
J We are going to worship at
The Open Door Presbyterian Church in the East End of Pittsburgh. Eat a
late lunch, or an early dinner, and come on a field trip with us as we
worship “Open Door style.”
*Mission kids: this is after our spaghetti
luncheon. If you want to stay and hang out or do homework, or nap, you
can hang out at the church until we leave.
Sunday, March 28th : Youth Group
Meeting 6:30-8:00
Today is Palm Sunday. A week before Easter. The
beginning of Holy Week. What does all of that mean? How do we prepare?
Tonight we will discuss the impact of this week and what it means to us
as Christians.
Many Blessings,
Jane

Welcome to a place where you can ask deep questions of faith...and ride
go-carts like a wild person (hmmmmm...maybe those logically go together
after all). Come join the journey Sunday evenings at 6:30 pm as
youth enjoy fellowship and formation guided by Youth Director Jane
Kinter and adult mentors from OPC.
Check out this movie
of our recent Youth Musical, Man in Motion.
