The Handbell Program at
Oakmont Presbyterian Church
Roberta “Bert” Erickson has been the Director of Handbells at Oakmont Presbyterian Church since 2004. Under her leadership, a beginning bell choir and senior chime choir have been formed. Additional handbells have been acquired expanding the instrument 5 octaves, and 5 octaves of handchimes have also been purchased.

Bert also directs a handbell ensemble at City Music Center at Duquesne University and is director of handbells at The United Presbyterian Church of New Kensington.

Not only a director, Bert is a handbell soloist who frequently shares her music ministry with congregations and organizations throughout southwestern Pennsylvania. Click here for a listing of upcoming performance dates and locations.

A Note From the Director
We welcome all – OPC members, friends, families and visitors – to join us in the Ministry of Music. We have handbell groups to suit people of all ages and abilities. There is no need to audition – you just need some musical ability and a heart for making “a joyful noise unto the Lord.”
